《刺客信条：影》奈绪江的演员Masumi Tsunoda透露，自己在获得表演资格时，并不了解游戏的背景故事。由于不接触电子游戏，她对《刺客信条》系列并不熟悉。

在接受Insider Gaming采访时，Masumi表示在试镜过程中才逐渐了解到这个项目。但对于首次担任游戏角色，她感到兴奋又荣幸。Masumi补充说，她像对待影视角色一样为奈绪江做准备。历时两年多去打磨她的忍者刺客身份，使其形象逐渐变得丰满。

虽然许多玩家赞赏奈绪江作为新角色的精彩叙事，但也有部分评测指出该角色在情感戏中显得单薄平面。得知演员不了解《刺客信条》背景后，玩家对其表现评价两极：部分玩家持批评态度，另一方则认为作为游戏首秀已经很出色。

在同一场采访中，Masumi还谈到游戏内"神社可破坏"的事，让她感到很难过。
